Star Wars Holiday Special Gets Remastered Fanmade Trailer In 4K, It's Still Cheesy

San Francisco-based illustrator and concept artist Nick Acosta has given the internet an incredible gift in the form of a 4K 60FPS remastered trailer for the Star Wars Holiday Special. Some say you simply cannot be basing your opinion of the divisive film on that scratchy old bootleg VHS copy you have laying around–you must witness it with the best modern technology has to offer.

Upon release, the 1978 disco-era Star Wars Holiday Special was universally panned by critics and fans, and it’s never been hard to understand why: There are agonizingly long segments in the misshapen variety show where Wookiees speak to each other in their native language with no subtitles, what plot there is makes no literal sense, and one of the highlights is Bea Arthur’s turn as Mos Eisley c…

An infamous dataset of leaked login details, updated last week, now houses 9,948,575,739 passwords and poses the biggest threat to our online security ever-

Check your passwords, people, because if there was ever a good reason to not reuse the same password, or even variants of the same password, then the latest version of the RockYou collection of leaked or stolen passwords must surely be it. With almost 10 billion unique passwords, the dataset is the largest source of genuine login details, from all around the world, making the risk of cyberattacks as high as it’s ever been.

The astonishing number was reported by Cybernews (via Sweclockers) after the updated dataset was posted on a forum used by hackers. Back in 2009, social media company RockYou suffered a data breach in which 32 million user accounts were compromised. Over a decade later, in 2023, a 100 GB text file titled RockYou2021 was posted on hacking forums.…

The multiple tile design, first introduced with Meteor Lake in the mobile sector, is predominantly manufactured by TSMC—only the base tile and packaging are handled by Intel.

That’s not the only change on show here and we’ve covered the important changes in detail elsewhere. It’s suffice to say that the new Core Ultra 200S series of CPUs is a new world for Intel as they are so different to previous desktop designs.

The Core Ultra 5 245K (and the GPU-less 245KF) is currently the baby of the Arrow Lake line-up and it’s basically a Core Ultra 9 285K with two P-cores and eight E-cores disabled. T…
